Prague’s historic Klementinum Gallery is hosting a unique exhibition this summer. The event brings a splash of Polish culture to the heart of the Czech capital. The “Polish Alphabet Book” showcases 44 eye-catching posters created by eleven young Polish artists, each representing a famous work or figure from Poland’s rich cultural history.<\/p>\n

Running from June 12 to July 31, 2024, this free exhibition offers visitors a colourful journey through Poland’s modern national culture.  Can you sum up a country’s culture in just 44 works? that is the question that it aims to answer.<\/p>\n

“We wanted to highlight Poland’s international cultural brands,” says exhibition curator Maria Kowalski. “From literature and music to visual arts and film, these posters capture the essence of Polish creativity.”<\/p>\n

Famous Names, Fresh Designs<\/h3>\n

Visitors will spot familiar names like Andrzej Wajda, Stanis\u0142aw Lem, and Olga Tokarczuk among the featured works. But it’s not just about the big names. The real stars are the young artists who have reimagined these cultural icons in bold, experimental poster designs.<\/p>\n

“It’s like a visual alphabet of Polish culture,” explains Jan Nowak, one of the participating artists. “We’re paying tribute to our heritage while adding our own modern twist.”<\/p>\n
