Prague is set to burst with colour and energy as the annual Prague Pride Festival returns from August 5-11, 2024. This year’s theme, FAMILY, promises to spark meaningful conversations and celebrate the diverse forms of love and kinship in the Czech capital.<\/p>\n

Rainbow Parade to Paint the City<\/h3>\n

The centerpiece of the festival, the Rainbow Parade, will wind through Prague’s historic streets on Saturday, August 10. Starting at noon from Wenceslas Square, the parade will pass iconic landmarks like the Astronomical Clock and cross the Vltava River, culminating in a vibrant celebration at Letna Park.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are expecting over 80,000 participants this year\u201d, said a Prague Pride organizer. \u201cIt is a powerful statement of love and acceptance in the face of ongoing debates about equal rights for same-sex couples in our country.\u201d<\/p>\n

Week-long Celebration of Diversity<\/h3>\n

The festival features nearly 200 events spread across the city. Highlights include<\/p>\n

– Pride Village on Strelecky Island Daily entertainment, community bonding, and sports activities<\/p>\n

– Pride Club Nightly parties with top queer DJs<\/p>\n

– Pride Park Multiple music stages, drag shows, and chill-out zones in Letna Park following the parade.<\/p>\n
