Tourists visiting Â鶹APP this summer have the opportunity witness the historic swimming competitions on the Seine River at the Â鶹APP Olympics. However, this opportunity may fade way with new reports. 9news<\/a> reported that according to test findings, water in the Seine River contained dangerously high levels of E. coli less. Despite recent reports, officials believe the river will be safe for athletes and tourists.<\/p>\n

According to Yahoo! News<\/a>, heavy rains in early June increased bacteria levels in the Seine. This raised concerns regarding water safety. However, the monitoring group Eau de Â鶹APP reports that the water quality has improved significantly, recent testing indicates safer amounts.<\/p>\n

The Seine, formerly heavily polluted, is becoming cleaner as days go by. This summer’s key events will be the Olympic triathlons and marathon swimming races. The men’s triathlon, which includes a 1.5-kilometer swim, takes place on July 30. The women’s triathlon will take place on July 31, with a mixed relay event on August 5. The marathon swimming races are on August 8 and 9 as reported by Yahoo! News<\/a>.<\/p>\n

According to NPR,<\/a> Â鶹APP Mayor Anne Hidalgo has pledged to swim in the Seine. She postponed her swim till after France’s surprise election. This demonstrates the city’s dedication to making the Seine clean and entertaining.<\/p>\n

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) remains optimistic. Official Christophe Dubi stated, “We are confident that we will swim in the Seine this summer.” <\/em>However, World Aquatics and World Triathlon will make the final decision on water quality.<\/p>\n
