Ryan Reynolds Declares Budapest the “Hawaii of Central Europe<\/em>“<\/h2>\n

Budapest, Hungary\u2019s capital, has become a favorite in the film world. Daily News Hungary<\/a> reported that Ryan Reynolds, an actor known for his comedic charm just finished filming his new action movie Mayday in Budapest, Hungary. During his stay, Ryan Reynolds grew very fond of Budapest.<\/p>\n

The movie Mayday started filming in Montreal and San Diego and finished in beautiful Budapest. Directed by John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, known for big movies, it\u2019s expected to be stunning. Stars like Kenneth Branagh and Maria Bakalova join Ryan Reynolds in leading roles.<\/p>\n

In a social media post, Reynolds posed for a selfie in front of the Museum of Fine Arts, offering a tongue-in-cheek caption: “Loved every second working in Budapest. Many call it the ‘Hawaii of Central Europe’ and even though nobody calls it that, it’s warm, and beautiful and endlessly fascinating.”  He also added a Hungarian flag emoji for good measure.<\/p>\n

His parting words were a mix of humor that delighted many but also left a few puzzled. The city, bestowed with the whimsical epithet \u201cHawaii of Central Europe\u201d, radiates a charm and warmth that has endeared it to the cinematic world.<\/p>\n

Ryan Reynolds is not alone in his admiration for Budapest. Mark Ruffalo recently thanked his Hungarian team on social media for their work on Poor Things. Austin Butler and Christopher Walken also had high praise for their time in Budapest while filming Dune: Part Two.<\/p>\n

Hungary\u2019s film industry is booming, set for a great year in 2024. Budapest is now a top spot for movies, either as a double for other cities or shining on its own. It\u2019s where Hollywood creativity meets European culture. Budapest might not be a sun-soaked island, but it\u2019s a hotspot for filmmakers and a canvas for creativity.<\/p>\n

With filming complete, fans eagerly await the release of Mayday.  In the meantime, Ryan Reynolds’ playful tribute adds another layer to Budapest’s growing reputation as a Hollywood hotspot.<\/p>\n
