In an effort to promote cycling across the capital, Transport for London (TfL) has announced the launch of TfL Cycle Sundays. This program aims to provide support for new cyclists, including leisure routes, cycling discounts, training, and safety tips.<\/span><\/p>\n

TfL Cycle Sundays will feature leisurely and easy-to-follow cycle routes across London, catering to individuals of all abilities. These routes will be available on TfL’s website and within the TfL Cycle Sundays Club on the Strava app. Additionally, TfL is working on expanding cycle paths across the city to further support cycling initiatives.<\/span><\/p>\n

The selection of routes has been a collaborative effort between TfL and various partners, including British Cycling, Cycle Sisters, JoyRiders, London Cycling Campaign, Sustrans, and Wheels for Wellbeing. Some of the highlighted routes include park rides in Greenwich and Battersea, an accessible cycle tour of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, and a loop through parks in Haringey.<\/span><\/p>\n

Miranda Leedham, a representative of TfL, expressed enthusiasm about the new program, stating, “We know how important it is to encourage Londoners of all backgrounds to make the most of the benefits of cycling, which is why we are delighted to be launching this exciting new programme.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Furthermore, TfL emphasized that participants do not need to own a bike to take part in Cycle Sundays. With approximately 800 Santander Cycles docking stations across London, individuals can easily hire a bike and explore the city on Sundays.<\/span><\/p>\n

The TfL Cycle Sundays initiative aims to make cycling more accessible and enjoyable for Londoners, promoting a healthier and more sustainable mode of transportation throughout the city.<\/span><\/p>\n
