As the famous American singer takes the stage on 25th<\/sup> and 27th<\/sup> May, 2024, traffic and parking restrictions are expected between Friday and Sunday around Est\u00e1dio da Luz. This is the venue for the highly anticipated Taylor Swift concerts, which are part of \u2018The Eras Tour\u2019. The concerts will start at 6.00 pm, with the official opening time of the venue to the public being scheduled for 4.00 pm.<\/p>\n

The Lisbon Metropolitan Command of the Public Security Police (PSP) has announced these restrictions to ensure safety and smooth traffic flow during the concerts. In their statement, the restrictions will be enforced \u2018only to the extent that is strictly necessary\u2019, so as to \u2018guarantee the safety of the holding\u2019 of the two concerts.<\/p>\n

Here’s what  to know:<\/p>\n

Affected Streets:<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The restrictions will be in place near Est\u00e1dio da Luz and will impact the following streets: Avenida Machado Santos (both directions), Avenida Eus\u00e9bio da Silva Ferreira, Impasse \u00e0 Rua Jo\u00e3o de Freitas Branco, Pra\u00e7a Cosme Dami\u00e3o, and Avenida Cosme Dami\u00e3o.<\/p>\n

Duration of Restrictions:<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Avenida Machado Santos: These restrictions will be the most extensive, starting at 8:00 am on Friday, May 24th and lasting until 2:00 am on Sunday, May 26th.<\/p>\n

Avenida Eus\u00e9bio Ferreira (access to Parque -3 and Avenida do Col\u00e9gio Militar): Expect delays on this avenue with restrictions starting at 2:00 pm on Friday, May 24th and continuing until 2:00 am on Saturday, May 25th. The restrictions will be re-implemented later that day at 2:00 pm and remain in effect until 2:00 am on Sunday, May 26th.<\/p>\n

Impasse \u00e0 Rua Jo\u00e3o de Freitas Branco: This street will have restrictions until midnight on Sunday, May 26th.<\/p>\n

Public Transportation Recommended:<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Authorities are advising concertgoers to utilize public transportation to minimize traffic congestion and reach the venue efficiently. Consider planning your trip in advance and familiarizing yourself with Lisbon’s public transport options.<\/p>\n

The PSP has also highlighted the need to ensure parking reservations on Avenida Hern\u00e2ni Lopes (direction Laranjeiras \u2013 Alto dos Moinhos), Avenida Machado Santos, Impasse \u00e0 Rua Jo\u00e3o de Freitas Branco, Pra\u00e7a Cosme Dami\u00e3o and in the parking lot of EMEL located next to the Avenida Lus\u00edada viaduct.<\/p>\n
