As the excitement builds for the Â鶹APP 2024 Olympic Games, Team GB has announced plans to set up fan zones across the UK, providing a platform for people to cheer on their favourite athletes throughout the summer event. The free-to-enter zones, scheduled to operate from the opening ceremony on July 26 to the closing ceremony on August 11, aim to bring the Olympic action closer to fans.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the <\/span>BBC<\/span><\/a>, these fan zones are set to feature big screens showcasing sporting events, along with a range of activities, on-stage entertainment, and DJ sets to enhance the overall experience. With nine confirmed fan zones across seven cities, including London, Edinburgh, and Liverpool, the venues are strategically chosen to ensure accessibility and inclusivity for fans across the country.<\/span><\/p>\n

In London, fan zones will be situated in prominent locations such as King’s Cross, Grosvenor Square, and Battersea Power Station. The Bullring in Birmingham, Cabot Circus in Bristol, and St James Quarter in Edinburgh are among the other selected venues. Additionally, fan zones will be held at Liverpool ONE, Spinningfields in Manchester, and Westquay in Southampton, offering a widespread presence for Olympic enthusiasts.<\/span><\/p>\n

Team GB expressed its intention to secure further sites across the UK as the Olympic Games draw near. The events are expected to feature appearances from past Olympians, engaging question-and-answer sessions, and celebratory events with Team GB’s returning athletes, adding an extra layer of excitement and engagement for the spectators.<\/span><\/p>\n
