April 25th is an important date in the history of Rome and Italy. This is a national holiday when Rome celebrates Liberation Day; a day when the eternal city gained freedom from the grip of the fascist regime as well as marking the end of the Nazi occupation during the Second World War.<\/p>\n

This is a special day to remember the lives of the Roman citizens who put their lives on the line to make sure that this city gained freedom. The Italian resistance movements and partisans who stood their ground and fought against fascism are forever in the hearts of the people of Rome and they are remembered on this special day.<\/p>\n

The good news is that the Liberation Day celebration in Rome is an open door for everyone willing to participate.<\/p>\n

Therefore, Thursday, April 25th is the day everyone should mark on their calendars. Whether you are a resident of this city, a visitor, or a tourist, feel free to join the celebrations as Rome marks another year of freedom.<\/p>\n

During the official ceremony, the president of Italy will hold flowers and join the altar to pay homage to the fallen soldiers and heroes who fought hard for the freedom of the country.<\/p>\n
