The new Tourist Train Season begins on Saturday, March 23rd<\/sup>, for routes across Prague and the Central Bohemian Region. The trips will allow visitors to combine scenic train rides with refreshing bike adventures. This season will run until October 28th.<\/p>\n

In gearing for the season, bicycle and steam trains have added new routes alongside their traditional operations as announced by Czech Railways (\u010cD). Those seeking to combine their train rides with cycling will have the opportunity of trips around Brdy, Bohemian Paradise, and Koko\u0159\u00ednsko.<\/p>\n

Popular traditional routes such as the nostalgic trips to Pos\u00e1zav\u00ed will remain. While some new routes of steam trains this year will extend to Dob\u0159\u00ed\u0161 and Ro\u017emit\u00e1l pod T\u0159em\u0161\u00ednem.<\/p>\n

Weekend getaways for families with children and cyclists will be possible on the Cyklohr\u00e1\u010dek excursion train from Prague to Slan\u00fd. It will operate on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays.<\/p>\n

In summer, Cyklohr\u00e1\u010dek will add weekday rides to destinations outside Central Bohemia. Such as Dob\u0159\u00ed\u0161, \u010cesk\u00fd \u0160ternberk, K\u00e1cov, Lu\u017eka nad Vltavou, and Nelahozeves.<\/p>\n

Hikers and cyclists will have the \u010cesk\u00fd r\u00e1j train and the Cyklo Brdy train serving them. These trains will operate on \u010cesk\u00fd R\u00e1j (Bohemian Paradise), and the Brda region routes popular with hikers and cyclists triggered by the expanded network of cycling paths accessible from railway stations.<\/p>\n

This year, operators have added more steam trains. They anticipate more visitors from Prague to the Central Bohemia region than last year. They transported over 6000 visitors between these two regions at the time.<\/p>\n

Visitors can expect memorable travels in historic locomotives as Jakub Goli\u00e1\u0161, the Czech Railways (\u010cD) Regional Director stated. \u201cSteam train fans can look forward to a number of nostalgic rides throughout the season. Some carriages of the historic train set, which provides most of the nostalgic trains, have undergone reconstruction before this season.\u201d<\/p>\n

In Prague, steam trains will depart from Praha-Vr\u0161ovice station. The details on schedules and prices can be found on the operator\u2019s website.<\/p>\n
