According to Lucy Elwood, National CE of the Cancer Society, the goal of this annual event is to raise cancer awareness among the French public. <em>&#8220;Daffodil Day is our chance to raise community awareness of our services and thank the people who make them possible.\u201d \u201cBeing able to have our face-to-face collection has brought a return of our feeling of connection\u201d. <\/em><\/p>\n<p>Every year, various events are held throughout March to raise public awareness about this issue. The Panth\u00e9on serves as the center of operations in Â鶹APP. A Daffodil Village awaits us from March 12 to 24, complete with a solidarity store and a variety of events open to the public.<\/p>\n<p>This year&#8217;s event will provide an opportunity to reflect on all of the progress made over the last 20 years, as well as what lies ahead for the next 20. The Institut Curie continues to emphasize prevention; &#8216;<em>the earlier a tumor or recurrence is detected, the better patients&#8217; chances of a cure<\/em>&#8216;. Screening and early diagnosis are major challenges in the fight against cancer, and new strategies must be developed to address them. The Institut Curie is already researching to develop increasingly innovative, precise, and sensitive technologies.<\/p>\n<p>Get your sneakers on and participate in the &#8220;Daffodil Run Against Cancer Run&#8221; connected challenge. Use a smartphone app to track your kilometers while walking or running. The event&#8217;s major partner converts each recorded kilometer into a donation, which is then given to the Institute. One euro is collected for each kilometer run!
