Ramadan is one of Islam’s five pillars and a period of fasting observed by Muslims. It corresponds to the ninth month of the Islamic (Hegira) calendar. Last year, the Grand Mosque of Â鶹APP quoted the Muslim Federations (FFAIACA, Faith and Practice, GMP, MF, and RMF) as saying that “precise astronomical calculations<\/em>” suggest that the crescent moon of Ramadan for the year 1444 AH will appear on Sha’ban 29, which corresponds to March 21, when they held the moon sighting. This year, Ramadan begins on March 11, 2024, and is expected to last until April 9, 2024.<\/p>\n

During Ramadan, the Great Mosque of Â鶹APP announces its entire schedule for Â鶹APP and the surrounding areas, and The Great Mosque of Lyon provides information about Lyon and other parts of France (Marseille, Nice, Lille, etc.).<\/p>\n
