This is the case for Victor Wembanyama whose hype has been compared to that LeBron James got back in 2003 when he was just getting to the NBA.<\/p>\n
Just like LeBron Victor is projected to be the first overall pick when the NBA draft happens on June 22, 2023.<\/p>\n
The San Antonio with the first pick after winning the lottery on May 16, 2023, looks like the possible candidate to add Wembanyama on their franchise come draft day.<\/p>\n
All the excitement since they got the first pick and Wembanyama joining their franchise soon enough is just the tip of the iceberg of what\u2019s to come from the French prodigy.<\/p>\n
Despite Wembanyama being a golden goose in terms of adding franchise value with more than half a billion, Victor is also set to revolutionize Spurs on the court and lead them back to their glory days.<\/p>\n
In an interview with ESPN shortly after the Spurs won the chance to select first overall, Wembanyama was asked what the Spurs would get if they selected him, and he responded, \u201d Aah, you know\u2026 team player, I am gonna make everything to win as many games as I can and I am tryna win a ring ASAP so be ready.\u201d<\/p>\n
So many expectations from the 19-year-old whom everybody expects to follow in LeBron James\u2019s footsteps.<\/p>\n
A recent post by Clutchpoint on Twitter agrees that Wembanyama could be the best in the game but to match or exceed LeBron James’ status, Wemby needs backup.<\/p>\n
