Amidst all the candid conversation served, Jenna Ortega and Elle Fanning&#8217;s discussions led only one of them, Jenna Ortega, to break down in tears.<\/p>\n<p>Jenna Ortega claims that she frequently finds herself in &#8216;trouble&#8217; because of her genuineness and that she is more that often scrutinized on social media. She started to cry when she was explaining how she is misunderstood for always being genuine on her social media page. The Wednesday star refers to social media as being really \u2018manipulative.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe more I\u2019ve been exposed to the world in a sense, people prey on that and take advantage of that. And they see your vulnerability and twist it in a way that you don\u2019t always expect. It\u2019s so, so strange. Sorry, I didn\u2019t mean to do this,\u201d she said, while tearing up. Elle, who was there to represent her Hulu series <em>The Great<\/em>, comforted Jenna.<\/p>\n<p>Fans were sympathetic with her but some were of the opinion that Ortega was just playing the oldest trick in the book. To them all celebrities despite of the age or gender, they are all subjected to the same spotlight and she should not expect anything less.<\/p>\n<p>She continues, \u201cIt\u2019s such a hard thing to balance. Because how do you be honest without jeopardizing your own health and safety? It\u2019s very easy to feel almost out of control of things, which is why it&#8217;s so important for people to get off the phone.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;Jenna emphasized on how she wanted to be honest on social media but proven difficult adding that, &#8220;I want people to be able to watch movies and also get to know the people behind the camera and feel like they&#8217;re attainable or realize that people should never be put on a pedestal.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It is expected that as Ortega\u2019s fame grew, she would almost always be featured on different social media platform. One of her most famous controversy was when she claimed that she changed her character&#8217;s lines in the television show, <em>Wednesday<\/em>. She was attacked by writes, fans and portrayed as an entitled and toxic person.<\/p>\n<p>Overall, Elle agreed with Jenna saying, \u201cYou just have to protect yourself, and also just know when to put it away and know it doesn\u2019t matter. That\u2019s not the real world.\u201d Elle was nothing but sweet to her and even thanked Jenna for being bravery and sharing her vulnerable side with her.<\/p>\n<p>She added, &#8220;I hear you. It&#8217;s so beautiful that you are so open and honest about your feelings because I think not a lot of people are, and I think it&#8217;s so courageous for you to put that out there and say that,&#8221; she said. &#8220;I think it can also help so many people as well.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Indeed, it was an emotional session for both actresses especially the Wednesday star Jenna Ortega.
