Victor Set To Make San Antonio Spurs Get Allocation For The Most Nationally Televised Games<\/h2>\n

Wembanyama is coming and everybody can feel that he is not coming to play.<\/p>\n

In super-hot form, his trajectory is only set to rise and we can\u2019t wait till we see him settle in the NBA.<\/p>\n

The hype surrounding the 19-year-old coming to the NBA has been compared to the hype around LeBron James back in 2003.<\/p>\n

Victor is set to be the first overall pick in the upcoming NBA draft on June 22, 2023, and just like LeBron, he is expected to be the main man once he gets here.<\/p>\n

The San Antonio Spurs were lucky enough to edge out other franchises to get the first pick in the upcoming draft and they are the most likely destination for the 7\u20194\u201d French international.<\/p>\n

With earlier reports of drafting Victor coming in with their own perks starters being he\u2019ll increase franchise value by more than half a billion dollars and massive ticket buying, Wemby might be a golden goose for the franchise he ends up with.<\/p>\n

Wemby to Spurs will not only be good in-court and performance-wise, but he\u2019ll also be impactful overall.<\/p>\n

On and off the court, Victor is poised to completely transform the brand. Victor, Playing under the tutelage of the legendary Gregg Popovich, is expected to make San Antonio sparkle.<\/p>\n

According to reports, supporters began calling to make season ticket reservations as soon as the draft lottery results were made public and the Spurs were awarded the first choice, even before the 2023 playoffs had ended.<\/p>\n

Since Tim Duncan’s time, the Spurs have struggled with declining support, and fans had begun to lose faith in them, but the announcement of the first overall pick brought about a renaissance.<\/p>\n

According to a piece done by Fansided, all this buzz around Victor brings a deja vu feeling of the same that happened back in 2019 when Duke\u2019s Zion Williamson was getting to the NBA.<\/p>\n

Standing at 6\u20196\u201d, Zion was selected by the New Orleans Pelicans as the first overall pick in 2019.<\/p>\n

The hype around him was also immense with most speculating on his outwardly skill and the in-court outburst he always got which were very instrumental on the team.<\/p>\n

His getting on the New Orleans team was very impactful and this leaves us wondering who has the most hype between Wembanyama and Williamson.<\/p>\n

It might be easier to get a detailed report when all of them might be nearing the end of their career in the NBA but as of now, the comparisons lie in very few aspects.<\/p>\n

For starters, Zion has played in only three seasons in the NBA whereas Victor has not been drafted yet so their NBA stats are out of the question.<\/p>\n

What we can question however is the number of nationally televised games the NBA scheduled for their respective team when they are drafted.<\/p>\n

We already know New Orleans’s number of nationally televised games since Zion was drafted in 2019 but what we don\u2019t have a set number is Wembanyama\u2019s.<\/p>\n

In a tweet by Steve Helwick, New Orleans Pelicans got 20 nationally televised games allocated to them by the NBA in Williamson\u2019s inaugural year.<\/p>\n

The nationally televised games allocation by the NBA is not yet released for the 2023-2024 season and we are waiting to find out how many games the San Antonio Spurs will get after they draft first.<\/p>\n

The question remains if they will get more than 20 to topple New Orleans Pelicans\u2019 in 2019 or will it be below that.<\/p>\n

Comparing Zion and Wemby concerning their teams is an appropriate form considering that San Antonio and New Orleans are not that booming in hype to get more nationally televised games and if they get such it\u2019s only because they have star players on their roster.<\/p>\n

All we get to wonder is when the NBA releases the schedule, will the Spurs get more than 20 allocated games or not?<\/p>\n

If they do, will Victor have dethroned Zion Williamson in the most hype between the two?<\/p>\n
