French Phenom Prepares The World For Even Greater Pursuits<\/h2>\n

Day in and day out Wembanyama is the talk of the basketball universe. Any name you\u2019d think of giving your superhero, Wembanyama already owns it.<\/p>\n

Victor\u2019s name is synonymous with greatness and his in-court pursuits are cementing his place as one of the best prospects ever.<\/p>\n

Wembanyama is deemed the highest prospected player to ever enter the NBA in 20 years and his hype has been compared to that of LeBron James got when he was getting into the league back in 2003.<\/p>\n

Wemby has even gone ahead to gain praise from the four-time NBA Champion who called him an \u2018alien.\u2019<\/p>\n

In his words, LeBron James said, \u201cEverybody has been a unicorn over the last few years, but he’s more like an alien. No one has ever seen anyone as tall as he is but as fluid and as graceful as he is out on the floor.<\/p>\n

At (his size), his ability to put the ball on the floor, shoot step-back jumpers out of the post, step-back threes, catch-and-shoot threes and block shots. He’s for sure a generational talent.\u201d<\/p>\n

For sure Wembanyama is a generational talent, one of a kind to be precise. Wembanyama has an 8-foot wingspan and is 7’4″ tall.<\/p>\n

Nevertheless, he is well-known for his talent and general playing approach. Victor will likely find certain tasks easier to complete than other players because of his alien-like height.<\/p>\n

He can outrun the defender and make the shot despite his little stature thanks to his great ball-handling abilities and quick first step. His shooting is smooth and deadly beyond the three-point line.<\/p>\n

His height and speed make him a formidable rim protector in the defensive paint and a force to be contended against.<\/p>\n

In possession of both skills and physical capabilities, there is no doubt Wembanyama is getting all the buzz around him.<\/p>\n

Of course, his hype might have surpassed what LeBron got back in 2003 and a bigger part of it is because of social media and the advanced technology.<\/p>\n

Victor\u2019s highlights on the court are nothing short of exceptional and he is expected to take over the NBA when he gets drafted come June 22, 2023.<\/p>\n

Already a lethal scorer Wemby is set to continue his streak when he gets into the NBA. He has been averaging 21.3 points,10.0 rebounds, and 2.7 blocks per game. His upward trajectory does not seem to stop and the numbers are only set to rise.<\/p>\n

Being interviewed back in October 2022, Wembanyama told reporters, ‘I’ve done nothing yet.’<\/p>\n

It seems that he is not stopping now and the world should brace itself for even bigger pursuits by Wembanyama.<\/p>\n

At the moment, Victor has Metropolitans 92 sitting comfortably in second place in the LNB Pro A with one game left to play before the season ends.<\/p>\n

He has been spectacular in this season’s campaign and NBA teams are counting on drafting him to lead them to a successful season once he gets drafted.<\/p>\n

NBA teams will however know the position in which they will have their pick on May 16, 2023, when the NBA draft lottery happens.<\/p>\n

San Antonio Spurs, Detroit Pistons and the Houston Rockets all are tied with the highest probability of getting a first-round pick overall at 14%.<\/p>\n

As the draft day beckons, we will just have to wait and see where Victor will land. How he will perform and his average, we will have to wait till the regular season begins.<\/p>\n
