French Phenom’s explosive performance overpowers Nanterre\u2019s in-court Exploits<\/h2>\n

Wembanyama is having a field day in his final games in the LNB Pro as seen by the numbers he is averaging in games.<\/p>\n

With two games to go before the season ends for the Metropolitans 92, the last games have shown why Wembanyama is the undisputed number one draft prospect come June 22, 2023, the day slated for the NBA Draft.<\/p>\n

Victor Wembanyama led the Metropolitans 92 to an incredible victory on Sunday, May 7, 2023, in one of the most spectacular displays of dominance ever witnessed at the Accor Arena.<\/p>\n

With a final score of 93-82 in favour of the Metropolitans, the Wembanyama-led team easily defeated Bourg-EN- Bresse.
\nThe French phenom scored 25 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, and assisted 4 times in front of 15,000 spectators.<\/p>\n

Victor’s previous match for Boulogne-Levallois Metropolitans 92 was against Nanterre 92 in Pro A on May 9, 2023, and the match ended with a result of 72 – 82 where Boulogne-Levallois Metropolitans 92 defeated Nanterre 92.<\/p>\n

A strong display by Wembanyama saw him attain 25 points, 17 rebounds and 3 assists to propel his current team against his former team.<\/p>\n

Might have been an emotional game because Victor played at Nanterre 92 from 2019 to 2021 before moving to ASVEL.<\/p>\n

The game was highly contented given Nanterre 92 finished the first half with one point clear of Boulogne-Levallois. Wembanyama rallied Metropolitans 92 to a sweet victory as they look to finish this season on a high note.<\/p>\n

As Wembanyama is preparing to get to the NBA, these last games have seen him play some of his finest games. From sick handles, putback dunks and free throws from the arc, Victor is doing it all and is not stopping now.<\/p>\n

Franchises are drooling on the idea of landing the 7 ‘4” French prodigy but May 16 NBA Draft lottery day couldn\u2019t come sooner to determine the draft order come June 22, 2023.<\/p>\n

Whichever team lands Wemby, they will be glad to get this one-in-a-lifetime talent. Going by the displays he has been having, perhaps he might revive playoff hope for these struggling franchises like he has been doing all season long for Metropolitans 92.<\/p>\n

Detroit Pistons, San Antonio Spurs and Houston Rockets have the highest possibility of drafting first in the draft at 14%. Victor has stated that he does not have favourites and he will be happy to play wherever he will get drafted.<\/p>\n

As the LNB Pro A season comes to an end, Wembanyama is also bracing for a new chapter in his basketball career. We shall wait and see how he fairs once he switches to the NBA.<\/p>\n
