Vincent Collet Heaps Praise On The French Phenom For His Latest Role<\/h2>\n

Victor Wembanyama has been the name on everybody\u2019s lips for quite some time now especially as the 2023 NBA draft gets closer. More people are getting to find out who Wembanyama is and for those who might miss out now, June 22, 2023, would show you why Wembanyama is one of the most sought basketball players on the planet right now.<\/p>\n

The French prodigy is so gifted in the court that he has amassed fans on and off the court. Legendary players are already calling him the best player and LeBron even proceeded to call him an alien.<\/p>\n

In a recent interview, LeBron James said, “Everybody has been a unicorn over the last few years, but he’s more like an alien. No one has ever seen anyone as tall as he is but as fluid and as graceful as he is out on the floor.<\/p>\n

At his ability to put the ball on the floor, shoot step-back jumpers out of the post, step-back threes, catch-and-shoot threes and block shots. He’s for sure a generational talent.”<\/p>\n

All this admiration and praise does not come around for nothing and Victor surely possesses something the ordinary basketball player does not have. First of all, his towering 7’4″ height, 8-foot wingspan, and unique playing style set him apart from other players.<\/p>\n

Despite his height, he has excellent ball-handling skills and a quick first step that allow him to outrun the defence and make his shot. He has a smooth and easy three-point shooting stroke.<\/p>\n

He is a great rim protector and a force to be reckoned with in passing lanes when playing defence because of his length and quickness.<\/p>\n

He is the ultimate prize because he is a 19-year-old with all these qualities, and teams are salivating over the prospect of signing him to their roster.<\/p>\n

Wembanyama is the only other basketball player to be highly prospected in the past 20 years the other one being LeBron James when he was coming off high school in 2003.<\/p>\n

There is more to every successful athlete’s story than just natural talent. Many factors are at play, but a great coach truly makes an athlete’s career. Victor’s situation is fortunate because he has access to some of the greatest trainers in the sports industry.<\/p>\n

The head coach of Metropolitans 92 in the LNB Pro A, Vincent Collet, who also serves as the national team’s coach, has developed Wembanyama’s career to where it is today.<\/p>\n

Collet had the finest things to say about the 7’4″ Center in his most recent remarks,\u201d Victor is mature for his age, he’s focused on his goals. We’ve tried to improve the entire year, it’s valid both for the team and for him.<\/p>\n

Recently, Victor has shown real progress in being part of the entire team. It’s not necessarily visible in terms of statistics but he’s much more related to his teammates.\u201d<\/p>\n

This comes after Victor\u2019s performance has dwindled statistically but it looks like he has grown in the relationship area. Victor has been averaging 21.3 points per game and his latest performances have not been too exceptional as he has taken to the role of playing collectively.<\/p>\n

This looks to have impressed Collet who did not hide his happiness on it amidst many concerns of why Victor is in a recession period.<\/p>\n

Victor-led Boulogne-Levallois Metropolitans 92 currently sits second in the LNB Pro A just behind Monaco. Collet will be looking to fire up his team for a strong finish as the season nears the homestretch.<\/p>\n
