Hilton was presented with the inaugural Sustainable Stand Award at the 30th edition of Arabian Travel Market, which ran at Dubai World Trade Centre until Thursday 4 May. The hospitality brand was applauded by the exhibition\u2019s independent panel of judges for its decision to engage a local supplier in the creation of its stand. In addition, they have lauded Hilton\u2019s commitment to repurposing as many materials as possible over the coming three years.<\/span><\/p>\n

To support its ecologically responsible approach to its stand design, Hilton is measuring its environmental footprint with a carbon calculator. It has also taken steps to mitigate the impact of its catering activities throughout the show, in line with the company\u2019s long-term sustainability goals.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hilton Hotels & Resorts is Hilton’s flagship brand and one of the largest hotel brands in the world. The brand is targeted at both business and leisure travellers with locations in major city centres, near airports, convention centres, and popular vacation destinations around the world.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hilton Hotels & Resorts participates in Hilton Honors, Hilton’s guest-loyalty program. Members who book directly through Hilton-owned channels receive exclusive discounts and amenities such as free Wi-Fi, digital check-in, keyless entry, and the ability to use a mobile app to choose specific rooms.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to Hilton, the ATM 2023 Best Stand Awards judges commended a number of other exhibitors for their sustainable efforts. The panel praised The Royal Commission of AlUla for paying close attention to the sustainable materials used in its stand\u2019s design, and Switzerland Tourism for the reusable modular system that it adopted.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the Best Stand Design Award category, Saudia was selected by the judges for the second year running. The Kingdom\u2019s flag carrier received praise for its impactful use of digital screens and reflective flooring, which the panel said created a genuine \u2018wow factor\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Arabian Travel Market 2023 is being held in conjunction with Dubai World Trade Centre, and its strategic partners include Dubai\u2019s Department of Economy and Tourism as the Destination Partner, Emirates as the Official Airline Partner, IHG Hotels & Resorts as the Official Hotel Partner, and Al Rais Travel as the Official DMC Partner.<\/span><\/p>\n
