Victor is poised to be a revolutionary in the franchise he gets to land in and he is set to immediately bring a positive impact to the team. All eyes will be on him to take center stage as he is doing with the Mets 92.<\/p>\n<p>At Metropolitans, Wemby seems to have everything in control. Wembanyama, who leads the league in points (21.5), rebounds (9.9), and blocks (3.1), is the overwhelming favorite to win season MVP. He has also helped the Boulogne-Levallois Metropolitans 92 team move up to second place in the league with a 19-10 record.<\/p>\n<p>He is also looking to have the same impact when he gets to the NBA and everyone is waiting to see how that pans out come June 22 during the 2023 NBA draft.<\/p>\n<p>Although he has been dubbed to have the potential to become the best basketball p[layer ever getting shoutouts from greats like Magic Johnson and LeBron James, potential doesn\u2019t necessarily mean that he will smoothly transition to greatness in the NBA. It is a different country, a different league, and a different style of play as Victor will be looking to quickly adapt and put up a statement.<\/p>\n<p>Every team in the NBA has to play 82 games during the regular season, which lasts from October to April. The playoffs tournament for the league goes through June.<\/p>\n<p>82 is a significant figure considering that the Mets 92 will play a 34-game regular season schedule from September 23 to May 16\u2014less than half the number of games in the NBA regular season. Will Victor endure this strain is a question everyone is asking.<\/p>\n<p>Victor on the other hand is very excited to get started and is looking up to playing as many games as possible during the season<\/p>\n<p>. Appearing on NBA Today, Wembanyama said, &#8220;I know there are so many games in the NBA season that it&#8217;s hard for players, especially players with a lot of intensity who play a lot of minutes. Obviously, it\u2019s hard to play all 82 games, but, you know \u2026 some players are built a certain way, like, yeah, others gotta rest sometimes.<\/p>\n<p>Obviously, my goal is always going to be to play the most games I can and to help my team as much as I can&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>This is doubtful and as the NBA keeps getting intense only raises more questions. To be certain, Wembanyama\u2019s camp has a special program that will ensure that he stays fit and healthy to ensure longevity in the game.<\/p>\n<h3>What is Wembanyama\u2019s special program?<\/h3>\n<p>ESPN featured Wembanyama in February and they highlighted some of his steps to becoming a star.<\/p>\n<p>His agent Bouna is quoted saying, \u201cWe have unbelievable experience working on how to avoid stress, how to avoid them with those long feet. And we have been setting up a special program for Victor, on his feet these past three years. We have been working very specifically on his body to make him safer and with a different approach.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>ESPN continues to explain how the camp is working to strengthen his core. His strength and conditioning coach Guillaume Alquier has him crawl on his fingertips and toes to strengthen his core with shoes and socks off sitting on the floor. Then there is the big toe which the coach spends a lot of time working on.<\/p>\n<p>The coach will put bands around each of Wembanyama\u2019s big toes and stretch them to create resistance. Wembanyama grimaces as he goes through the drill, pushing back to create tension.<\/p>\n<p>That is quite the training that goes along with the general training Wembanyama gets alongside his teammates.
