Houston Rockets To Usher Frenchman To Their Franchise<\/h2>\n

Spotting and developing talent is one of Houston Rockets’ strongholds as seen by how they have managed to get some of the finest talent in the NBA through the years.<\/p>\n

Previous success with players comprising Tracy McGrady and Yao Ming clarifies the team’s ability to identify and land the best talents ever.<\/p>\n

Its track record of securing young players is not relenting as they focus on the current best young talent in basketball French prodigy Victor Wembanyama.<\/p>\n

Wembanyama is already a household name and he has been making headlines being one of the most hyped prospects in the NBA since LeBron\u2019s draft year in 2003. It is no surprise that he is getting so much attention given his talents, skills and physical attributes.<\/p>\n

Standing at 7’4″, his towering height, 8″ wingspan, extraordinary athleticism and astounding skill set get frequent comparison to some of the greatest players in the history of the sport.<\/p>\n

At only 19 years old, Wemby has already taken the world by storm and teams cannot hide the excitement of him joining their franchise. Wembanyama was recently announced for the draft and fans can\u2019t wait to see him finally get in the NBA.<\/p>\n

This occurred when he declared his intention to enter the 2023 NBA draft to Malika Andrews during an appearance he made on ESPN’s NBA Today on Friday, April 21, 2023.<\/p>\n

Wembanyama, who was visibly delighted, exclaimed, \u201cDeclaring for the draft, it\u2019s something crazy I\u2019m not realizing yet, I realized pretty young. I wanted to play in the NBA, but it becomes a reality more every day. I\u2019m so lucky to have this dream within the reach of my hand.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Houston Rockets finished the season with a 22-60 record, placing them second-to-last in the Western Conference. This gives them an upper edge as they will be looking to revamp their otherwise young squad.<\/p>\n

At 14% each, the Rockets, Pistons, and Spurs have the best chances of winning the first overall pick in the draft and selecting Wembanyama on June 22, 2023, during the draft.<\/p>\n

Joining the Houston Rockets, Wembanyama will be under the tutelage of ex-Celtics coach Ime Udoka and he will get a chance to play alongside fellow big man Serbian Boban Marjanovi\u0107 who stands at a towering height of 7’4″.<\/p>\n

That would mean Houston would boast the tallest players in the NBA alongside a pool of young talent under a legendary coach.<\/p>\n

Wembanyama to the Rockets sparks a flurry of anticipation and high hopes. His distinctive combination of size athleticism and skills makes him a captivating prospect for the Rockets. Victor’s shot-blocking expertise, passing skills and perimeter shooting will impact the Houston game in a big way.<\/p>\n

The Rockets’ new defensive look would be an intimidating sight thanks to Victor’s 8′ wingspan and natural shot-blocking abilities. His taking the back-court will be intimidating opponents’ and they would be limited to very few shot choices.<\/p>\n

In addition, Wembanyama will give Houston Rockets a potential weapon considering his good offensive shots and exquisite ball-handling abilities for a player his size.<\/p>\n

Possessing the ability to open up the floor, he will create his shot and possibly turn into a matchup anguish for opposing teams. He has the potential to grow into a dependable scorer and an indispensable player for the Rockets in the future with the right development.<\/p>\n

While the potential is evident and Houston Rockets seem a fair team for the young star, it is only a matter of time before we found out which team will get a chance to land him. Regarding his maneuvres in the team, we just have to wait and see.<\/p>\n
