Today\u2019s Fox News app had Kamala Harris\u2019s speech as more important than Trump’s invitation to testify to the New York Grand Jury.<\/span><\/h2>\n

Of course, the article about Kamala was negative, but to some degree, so was the Trump article. This seems to be an increasing pattern with Fox News and its \u2018sister\u2019 news sources New York Post and the Wall Street Journal. All owned by Rupert Murdock.<\/p>\n

Just to show that the mainstream press was not asleep on this. Both of them gave the negative Trump story a top spot.<\/p>\n

The Apple News app, which supposedly uses an algorithm to rank the order of the articles, had the Biden Budget as the top item.<\/p>\n

The distortion of the headlines is what is also used to get clicks, but also to sway people\u2019s opinions. And headlines really matter, according to a recent study by Columbia University. They found that 59% of news app readers only read the headlines.<\/p>\n

That is why today\u2019s Colin Kaepernick articles were so interesting. Fox News had it as article number 5. The New York Times, CNN, Washington Post, BBC, NBC, CBS, and ABC did not have it as an app-worthy story. Apple news had it as covered by Sports Illustrated. The same interview event was covered by both news outlets. The headlines are quite different.<\/p>\n
