Carrie Preston in the new show “Elsbeth” starring as lawyer turned super sleuth Elsbeth Tascioni is nothing short of brilliant as the 2024 version of Columbo but in a skirt and with a plethora of shopping bags in lieu of a dirty trench coat. (you just have to love a run-on sentence – LOL)<\/div>\n
 <\/div>\n
We all know the classic Columbo scenario: we witness a murder or act of uncontrollable mayhem, Elbeth comes upon the scene and we begin a fantastical rollercoaster ride of red herrings, bumbling investigators, ne’er do-well police combatants, oft beguiling perpetrators and of course a raft of ever-changing weekly supporting actors.<\/div>\n
 <\/div>\n
You have to love they stayed true to the original with an ongoing subplot centered on the police chief, wonderfully played by the always-engaging Wendell Pierce. Rounding out the shows trifecta of fabulous characters is Cara Patterson as police officer Kaya, the connected at the hip Elsbeth’s cohort and helpmate.<\/div>\n

Total mindless fun but IMHO, a must watch. Tune into your Apple TV, sit back and enjoy one of this season’s best new shows.<\/div>\n
