I understand what Rian Johnson was trying to do and that was try my patience for caring! First, don’t start the movie by creeping me out with a Zoom call featuring the late Angela Landsbury and the later Stephen Sondheim. I know the film was in the can before their demise but really? The film was not released until well after those events and with the modern miracle of real-time editing, those actors could easily have been replaced. Here’s a thought – maybe with someone who is still with us? <\/div>\n
 <\/div>\n
As for the performances? Every talk show is lauding Kate Jackson’s performance, but she is just one of the many who try and mostly succeed to rise above this overdrawn plot by sheer will of their talent. Let’s not overlook the wonderful Janelle Monae, Kathryn Hahn, Daniel Craig, or Edward Norton among the many others that appear, albeit briefly, such as Hugh Grant, Ethan Hawke, and Leslie Odom Jr. <\/div>\n

Now, let’s just cut to the chase with a Spoiler Alert. The last 15 minutes (felt more like 30) with the “way too long breaking glass scene” or IMHO “breaking glass shitshow” ruined what could have been a solid 3-star movie experience. Note I did not say 3 out of how many! LOL<\/div>\n
