Kim Kardashian is a reality TV star, social media influencer and entrepreneur. She rose to fame in early 2007 after a sex tape featuring Kim and her then-boyfriend R&B singer Ray J was leaked online. The attention helped the Kardashian family including Bruce Jenner\u2019s later transition into a woman.
\nHer ratings went up after the show Keeping Up with the Kardashians featuring her family on the E! Reality show and with time she opened KKW Beauty, KKW Fragrance, and SKIMS all multimillion-dollar business ventures. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were declared legally single at a hearing back in March.<\/p>\n

The divorce was first filed by Kim in February 2021, citing irreconcilable differences, ditching her $ 1.3 million wedding ring. The divorce would entail working on canceling and reorganizing their legal duties and responsibilities to dissolve the bonds of matrimony under the rule of law of the United States. In the United States, it doesn\u2019t matter what the reasons are that a party or parties want to separate. They can separate on their own free will without having to prove someone is at fault for the divorce, it supports both fault and no fault.<\/p>\n

This is not Kim\u2019s first divorce, she has been through a share of heartbreaks and the tabloids have not wasted time smearing her personal life on the internet. Her first rodeo was when she eloped with Damon Thomas at the age of 19. The two were married for 4 years after Kim claimed he was extremely controlling to the extent he would physically abuse her. She then got married to the basketball player Kris, the marriage lasted for a total of 72 days.<\/p>\n

In my opinion it seems like Kim has always been addicted to the attention of the media. Although not every relationship is guaranteed, drama always seems to find her. She has been the center of attention even during the filming of the reality show. I guess she cannot keep out of trouble.<\/p>\n

Kardashian and West began dating in 2012 and after one year, they had their first daughter, North West. Kim and Kanye\u2019s wedding was beyond grand, the two tied the knot at Forte di Belvedere in Florence, Italy on May 24, 2014, after the guests were flown from Â鶹APP. You would not expect anything less from Kim and a few years later, they had three more children: Saint (born in 2015), Chicago (born in 2018 via surrogate), and Psalm (born in 2019 via surrogate).<\/p>\n

The final paperwork for the divorce agreement was filed on Tuesday, Nov. 29 2022. Even though they have reached an agreement, the proposed settlement still needs to be signed off by a judge, but once that happens, the divorce is officially finalized. The way I see it, the divorce will give Kim a chance to find genuine peace and happiness, especially as a mother. She will be able to focus all her energy and affection on her kids. I agree it should be the last resort but learning to let go is the greatest thing to do for yourself and those around you, after all, it shows courage.<\/p>\n

According to reports, the couple started having problems in quarantine and started arguing. There were other rumors that Kanye has been trying to divorce Kim for almost two years on July 22, 2020. It is, therefore, clear that the couple had been showing signs of trouble for some time now.<\/p>\n

Kim allegedly stayed in the relationship just because of Kanye\u2019s mental health, and bipolar disorder diagnosis, and frankly, I would have done the same thing. Hear me out, the relationship was doomed and Kim knew that, but the two were literally married which is more than just a physical union; it is also a spiritual and emotional union. She wanted to stand by him for the sake of the kids and his wellbeing.<\/p>\n

After filing for divorce, the former couple has finally come to a settlement. According to TMZ, the couple has had an amicable divorce that Kanye is fine with the joint custody arrangement with \u201cequal access\u201d to their four children. From court documents obtained by E! News, they have agreed to joint legal and physical custody of their four children and dividing their assets, including their 21 estates. Kim will be awarded many properties located within Hidden Hills, California and will retain their houses located in Riverside, California, Malibu, California, and in Idaho.<\/p>\n

Kanye will retain 300 acres in Calabasas and the homes in California located in Calabasas, Malibu, Hidden Hills and Thousand Oaks. He will also retain two ranches and a home located in Wyoming, a property located in Belgium and his childhood home in Chicago, Ill. He is also will be required to pay Kim $200,000 a month in child support and take responsibility for half of the children’s medical, educational, and security expenses. In addition, the couple waived spousal support, which is a clear sign that the two are not in conflict.<\/p>\n

The Skims founder and the rapper are committed to co-parenting together.  There are misconceptions about divorce and how most adults who divorce have lower levels of happiness compared to married individuals. Some believe it makes you devastated, confused, suicidal and rejected. However, it all depends on the relationship. There are divorced individuals, especially women, who start to feel like their old selves again and have a sense of freedom and relief. Men might take time to adapt but will be back on track with the best support system. Kim stated that all she wanted was to begin the healing process for herself and her family in order to move forward in her new chapter.<\/p>\n
